I don’t know what I would do without smoothies in my life. They are quick, easy, and delicious, and can be easily packed with essential nutrients. I normally have a smoothie every day, choosing to replace the meal I will be most time-poor in for a smoothie. This can be breakfast, uni snacks or dinner.
1 large banana
1cup dairy-free milk (I used almond milk)
1tbsp cocoa powder
¼ cup oats
1 cm cube fresh ginger
1tbsp almond butter
Combine all ingredients into a blender, and blend until smooth.
2 large handfuls baby spinach
2 kale leaves-stems removed
1 cup of water
1 cup frozen pineapple
2tsp barley grass powder
1tbsp hemp seeds
Blend kale and baby spinach with the water until smooth. Add remaining ingredients and blend until smooth.
I have left the best to last. This is my absolute favourite smoothie.
RASPBERRY AND GREEN TEA SMOOTHIE
¼ cup mint
½ cup raspberries
½ cup coconut cream
½ cup green tea (cool tea before adding)
Combine all ingredients in a blender, and blend until smooth.
